What is the signal verification process?
The signal verification process is the mechanism used by Jinca to stop the execution of the deadman’s switch.
How does the signal verification process work?
Jinca will send you an SMS and/or email requesting that you verify your signal by entering your PIN. If you enter the PIN correctly, the timer will reset. If you do not enter the PIN satisfactorily after a series of attempted contacts, Jinca will be executed.
How often will I need to verify my signal?
The frequency of the signal verification process is configured by the user. You can choose how often you want to be contacted. You may want to set a frequency that balances the need for security with convenience. If you know that you will not be available for signal verification at a specific time (such as during a vacation), modify this frequency seamlessly.
What happens if I don't enter the PIN correctly?
You will have 3 chances to enter the PIN correctly within a 24-hour period. If you fail to enter the correct PIN within those 3 attempts, you will have to wait another 24 hours to try again. This process will repeat 3 times for a total of 72 hours. If you still haven't entered the correct PIN after those 9 attempts, Jinca will execute.
